Greek night and the celebration of Hannah-kuh (Hannah's birthday)

before I post pix from Dublin and London, I thought it would be fun to share some photos from everyday life in Brussels. in celebration of Hannah's birthday we hosted "Greek Night" at our flat, which basically consisted of some friends coming over and our resident Greek-American Sophia directing the operations. It was absolutely deliciso! And here are some pics to prove it.

out for birthday brunch at the mim, located very cooly at the top of the instrument museum so that you can see out over the entire city while enjoying your morning pain-au-chocolat

the beautiful view

my roomies and moi outside on the balcony of the mim

after a large brunch what other would you do than stop for waffles and ice cream?

a cute little place near my flat

i love love love that the belgian party supply stores sell these precious super long banners for a euro. i may come home with 20 banners.

the preparation of greek night begins with  fresh green beans and zucchini!

after realizing that basically nowhere in this city sold refried mexican beans, i had no choice other than to result to greek beans, which are kind of like giant pinto beans and very delicious!
